SERVICE MANAGEMENT CENTRE


The Service Management Centre (SMC) provides a single point of entry for specific services to customers through which the rapid restoration of services to the customers and users are enabled. These include countrywide IT Service Management services to Government customers and Business Process Outsourcing services on behalf of Government to the South African citizen and foreign nationals:

  • IT Service Management Services (ITSM Services) which is focused on end-to-end management of services on behalf of Government across all spheres of Government. This is aligned to governance (CoBIT), international best practice (ITIL) and international quality standards (IEC/ISO 20 000); and
  • Business Process Outsourcing Services (BPO Services) which focuses on providing business service centre services, on behalf of Government, to make their services more accessible to the citizens of South Africa as well as foreign nationals.
